How to Install System Restore with Vista
- 1). Click on your computer's Start button. Choose "All Programs" and then click "Accessories."
- 2). Click on "System Tools." Choose "System Restore" from the list.
- 3). Click on the "Recommended restore" option if you simply need to restore Vista to any previous installation. If you need to restore Vista to a specific installation date, click on the "Choose a different restore point" option. Click "Next."
- 4). Click "Yes" in the next window if you chose the "Recommended restore" option in the previous step. If you chose to pick your system restore date in the previous step, select the date now and click "Next." Click "Yes" in the next window. Windows Vista will now restore the computer to a previous installation.
- 1). Click on the Windows icon at the bottom of your screen.
- 2). Click "Control Panel."
- 3). Click "System and Maintenance."
- 4). Click "System."
- 5). Click "System Protection" on the left-hand side of the screen. Type your Vista password if prompted. Open the System Protection tab. Click "Create." Type a description for your restore point in the box. Click "Create" to create a system restore point for the current date.
